Sciatica

Sciatica refers to back pain caused by a problem with the sciatic nerve.  The sciatic nerve is a large nerve that runs from the lower back down the back of each leg which then branches into the lower legs and feet with other nerve connections.  When this nerve is injured or if pressure is put on it, it can cause pain from the lower back into the buttocks hip and legs, ankles and feet.
