Shoulder, Arm, Hand
One of the most frequently injured regions of patients is the “rotator cuff”. Most people do not realize that the rotator cuff is not actually a single entity but is comprised of 4 separate muscle groups; the subscapularis, teres minor, supraspinatus and infraspinatus. These muscles hold the shoulder joint in place and allow movement of the arm and shoulder.
Many if not most injuries to the rotator cuff are directly related to structural alignment issues with the neck and upper back as well as repetitive one sided use or overuse of the injured muscle. Dr. Sidmore addresses both the structural (misalignments) and neurological causes and also provides guidance on rehabilitative exercises to heal these muscles.
Arm Pain
If you have a recurring pain into your upper arm (deltoid or bicep) you may have a cervical misalignment and/or disc herniation. Most often cervical disc herniations are associated with cervical misalignment. Although a disc once herniated cannot be rebuilt, we at Sidmore Chiropractic can decrease the inflammation that is causing your pain and get pressure off of the structures causing the pain allowing you to heal.
